Book blog/journal?

Hello everyone!

I recently opened my own book blog to spare my flist. Does anyone have a dedicated journal or blog for the books they read? I'd be very interested in reading those.

Oooooh, pretty blog! ^-^ (I can pretty much guarantee that I'll be more of a lurker, mind. Blogger/Blogspot hates it when I comment.)

I have a mostly-book blog* over on Wordpress for much the same reason you give. ^-^

*I say mostly because occasionally I'll talk about things I've seen or played as well. It's rare, but still.

*blush*

It sounds like it's The Magicians and Mrs. Quent by Galen Beckett you're thinking of. ^-^ (Link.) I hope it is. My memory's so fuzzy and hazy I won't be able to help if it isn't. :(

And don't be embarrassed! It happens to everyone. ^-^ I've had to make special folders for all the books that sound interesting to me because otherwise I will forget about them!

I wandered into a bookstore a few days ago, fully aware of what I was looking for, but darned if I could remember anything more than "The cover has lots of red on it" and "this person recommended it to me" when I got inside!

In a way, I guess you could say I have my own book blog. I have my LJ set up on a filter system so that people can pick and choose what they want to read. I have quite a few friends who are book-only filter readers. I cross-post my entries to my DW account, but there is not a filter system there, so everybody sees everything.

HERE is a link to my DW entries for books. If you're interested after that, I can add you to my LJ book filter so that would be all you see (with a very occasional unlocked entry thrown in - quite rare, I can assure you).

I used to keep one, but it's been gathering dust for a while. I do plan on reviving it in January however. It's at Shadow Magic.net.

Not yet, but I keep meaning to set one up...the problem is that I religiously review books for the first three months of a year, and then I get distracted and poof! I have 60 books to review....sometime. I r failcakes.

I don't, but if you look at the tags "books" and "review" on my account I do have book reviews up. I also review webcomics and some other stuff, and talk about books in general, so if you're interested I'd recommend hitting both tags.

I've been meaning to start a review-only blog. Maybe now's the time to start. Hm.

*nods* If romance isn't your thing, you want to be avoiding it.

Oh, dear. That sounds like one of those stories that's only funny in hindsight... At least you found it eventually, though! ^-^

I post my book reviews to my journal and there's a separate feed for just the reviews if people want. The whole thing is syndicated on DW as [syndicated profile] eaglespath_feed, but the book feed alone isn't, so you get other things like software announcements and whatnot mixed in. If you want just the book feed, though, my review site has links to the dedicated RSS feed and other delivery mechanisms (such as a mailing list).
