Oni the Lonely
Oni the Lonely by C. Chancy
The oni Kyosai has come to a small Appalachian city to try to make a go of an art studio.
His sister followed, looking for a refuge because of her romance and talking of his broken heart. Meanwhile, Rain is grieving over her grandparents' death, and trying to make a living at soap, while being called in for her family's talent at cove doctoring.
Folklore meets and clashes involving such things as an allusion to MacBeth, clothing sold to bury a woman, the problem with identifying the creatures of a foreign land, blue and red paint getting all over a shop, cupcakes, and more.
