YEP I had those too...and I agree! Georgia is really a stranger to herself in so many ways, not just regarding her orientation, that I think the book comes off as a very solid coming-of-age novel overall. And not just for Georgia! Rooney and Pip are definitely also having their own coming-of-age stories in there.

I think "Loveless" is really just a starting point in that sense--it really only covers Georgia's realization about herself and not much beyond that. I think to really dig into an aroace experience it would need to start later in her journey, when she's already had the realizations she has here. And I don't think any novel can cover every aro/ace/aroace experience...she has Sunil there as someone who's comfortable with his label and has already gone through this aspect of Georgia's journey, and her aromantic cousin whose name I'm forgetting who may not use that label but is committed to her own lack of interest in a romance, but I see why Oseman wanted to focus this just on Georgia's specific experience.

I'm looking for other books that also have aro and/or ace characters, so I will share what I find here, and hopefully we'll have some differing experiences and perspectives!
