Cania and the rest of her company -- it takes a bit to introduce them all -- gather, having concluded that it's better that they get the Warmaiden and the evil dagger she carries out of the spell that traps her than they get the evil sword to another city.
This involves discovering something in a basement, the dangers of insanity, stealing information from a book, talking to a skull, a lot of fighting, the return of an old foe, and more.
