Monster Punk Horizon by H.P. Holo
On the Monstrous Continent, where you fight and eat the monsters and claim their gems, Pix and Jaz are picking up their skills as monster hunters, though they don't have Khatoyants yet. (The original, cat-folk inhabitants of the world, when they found people and monsters falling through the sky, found that other people could be induced to fight the monsters, with their help.)
Adventures in what sort of ancestry they have -- except for the skyborne, newly arrived, most humans have dragon blood -- and the sorts of names they give monsters (not the most scholarly), and the ecosystem and the fights and acquiring Khatoyants. Also some back story, drunkenness, questions of tents, and more.
