Miyo plans a gift for Kiyoka, in return for his. Yurie is, of course, delighted to help. But her stepsister thinks that Kiyoka is a better bridegroom and so should be hers. Meanwhile, the stepsister was betrothed to a nearby family, and the father of it is furious because he planned on snatching up Miyo when her family discarded her, and it's all gone to pieces.
Miyo and Kiyoka talk more, but it all ends on a cliff-hanger.
