Favorite Classic?

Sadly, I didn't read a lot of the classics while in school. So now I'm trying to catch up and read as many as I can. So my question to all of you is what your favorite classics are and why?

Thanks!

The Count of Montecristo by Alexandre Dumas is an engaging, entertaining and thrilling novel of perseverence, revenge, and intrigue.

Yes! The unabridged version, of course.
