Book Club
The poll for June's Book Club Read has been closed. The community will be reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. If you are interested in participating in the book club, please remember that the community post will be made on June 25th. Do not post separate reviews of the book to the community. writerlibrarian up on her wonderful offer to help with the management of the book club and the community. As many of you know, I just finished my last semester of law school, and I am currently studying for the bar (not in California :D, but in another state with a reputation of having a difficult bar). Mr. jennem and I will also be relocating in July (before the bar) because of a job opportunity offered to me, and we go on our honeymoon immediately after the bar (we literally fly out the day after the bar exam). Basically, I'm really busy. :D writerlibrarian will be in charge of running the book club in July and August. She gets busy in September and October, so I'll take the reigns in those months, and then we're just going to play it by ear. She has also been elevated to the status of "mod." So far we haven't had any problems with the "don't be an asshole" rule, but she is empowered to police the bad behavior of members when they forget how to play nicely with one another. I re-read Good Omens last week before joining this community, so I'll get on with other books (have just started Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell and loving it) and participate in the book club post all the same. :)
