This book encourages a more flexible take on writing than as espoused in Strunk & White's Elements of Style. It was an exceedingly pleasurable read, both witty and inspiring. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to improve their writing :) 

It also includes a list of good references, such as where to find little-known, specific vocabulary (ever wonder what that little indent between your nose and upper lip is called?). I need to get me a descriptionary, like, yesterday.

A nice breezy read and yet very informative. It gets a:

My amazon.com wishlist is full of books on writing; if I had my way I'd have a full bookcase dedicated to them. This one looks awesome! (His last name is Plotnik! How can I not love it?)

I'd love to check out your wishlist, because I've recently got into a craze about books on writing. I've always really loved to write, but somehow it never hit me that I could actually find (good, helpful) books on how to take it up a notch. :)

This sounds great! I mostly write poetry and trying my hand at long prose narrative has been challenging. From the looks of it, this book could help me fuse the two, or at the least, find a comfortable midpoint where I can pull from both sides.

I have to keep it in mind for when I have money to spend.

I'd keep an eye out for it! (I actually first got my copy from the library before deciding it was a bookcase must-have)

My writing has always been very simple and, well, a little 'blah'. But this book really helped me figure out where to improve.
