Blood Cast
Blood Cast by Jonathan Moeller
book 9 of Cloak Games. Serious spoilers ahead. A lot of returning characters who were detailed in earlier books.
As in, it opens with Murdo and Nadia sabotaging a Rebel smuggling operation. And then, in pursuit of a lead they find there, back to Milwaukee.
A chance encounter lets them find a number of people from her past. The connection is that her brother Russell found them while looking for her. It involves a shop teacher, a baby, how even the Archons don't like necromancy (and how it actually -- brushes, not more on true necromancy, with the undead speaking cryptically of the future), Nadia's having to tell secrets, Murdo's secret, and more.
